Philosophy:

Synergy Pediatric Therapy, INC was founded by Melanie Conatser, OT, and Rachel Kongshaug, PT, in January 2007. With 10 years of combined experience in pediatric therapy, they share a common vision for the delivery of therapy services to children of all ages in the Phoenix area. Having both relocated from the MidWest, Melanie and Rachel share common values, goals, and a unique vision for the future of Synergy Pediatric Therapy, INC. Synergy was chosen, because by definition, it summarizes their guiding philosophy. In order to make the greatest impact in the lives of children with special health care needs, highly trained therapists have to work hand in hand with the family members and all community supports involved in that child’s life. Traditional delivery of therapy services isn’t as effective as the combined efforts of many talents working together towards a common goal, and the goal is always child-driven and family-centered.

Synergy Pediatric Therapy, INC will strive to become a unique team of highly educated therapists with diverse talents and gifts working hand in hand with the families they serve to positively impact the lives of children with special health care needs, within their community environments. We value the dreams and desires of all children to have fun, conquer challenges, pursue new and exciting experiences, explore engaging evironments, and be social amongst their peers. Synergy Pediatric Therapy will provide support to families, facilitate access to community resources, take an active role in community advocacy groups, and help to further our professions in the area of pediatrics. We will uphold high standards of practice, the importance of continued learning, and the responsibility of evidence-based practice. We will be family-focused in the delivery of therapy services.
